What is Scuba Concierge?
It’s scuba education with a difference.
Many companies can offer you an Open Water certification. You can do it locally, you can do it abroad, you can do it in a couple of days, or you can do it over a number of weeks. But if I was to say to you “Can you please go and get me a car?”, you’d probably have a few follow up questions. What is the budget? Who is providing the funds? How big does it need to be? What colour?
Unfortunately, most people don’t realise that this variation exists within scuba education too, and few ask questions before they have signed up to something that might not be quite right.
Our Scuba Concierge services is designed to help you get the highest quality scuba education, and answer many questions that you don’t even know need to be asked.
There are hundreds of dive centres across the world that can provide you with an Open Water certificate. Many do a fantastic job. However, as commercial pressures increase, more and more examples are surfacing of Open Water courses being completed in two days, students being rushed through skills without having adequate time to practice, and in some cases, entire parts of courses being missed out because instructors are under pressure to do as many courses as possible. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to determine if this is the experience you will encounter before you actually encounter it.
This is where Scuba Concierge differs. We take the standard PADI Open Water course and tailor it to your requirements. Over a minimum of five days and four nights, we use the course standards as the minimum requirement, and teach you so that you not only meet these standards, but are so proficient in the water that you will exceed many of them comfortably.
Your personal instructor
The most important part. You will have the same instructor throughout your course. You will meet them before your learning starts, and be in contact with them throughout your course. This close relationship ensures all of your diving goals are met, and just as importantly, that you have a great time.
Your learning environment
Whilst we’ll kick off the course here in Hong Kong, the vast majority of your course takes place in one of the best diving locations in the world; the Philippines. Why? Because that is where the best conditions can be found. Wonderful visibility, diverse marine life, and excellent dive resorts mean we have the best of the best to choose from.
Your choice
Want to add some extra days to your course? No problem. Interested to do your Advanced Open Water at the same time? Easy. So long as we can provide it safely, we’ll help arrange anything to make your Scuba Concierge experience whatever you’d like it to be.
What's included?
- Private, personal instruction by a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer or above
- Maximum ratio of 2:1 (If you have a larger group, no worries at all. We simply add more instructors)
- Familiarisation pool dive in Hong Kong before you commit to the full course
- Unlimited pool time
- Two additional open water dives with your instructor, post certification (total of six dives)
- All equipment, pool dives, boat dives, tanks, weights, learning materials and certification
- Accommodation and transfers in Philippines
